Healthcare workers experience verbal and physical assaults in the workplace daily. Ultimately, I hope that by sharing my story, it will inspire others to work toward safe healthcare workplaces. My book brings a message of hope and healing for both those who have experienced healthcare workplace violence and those who support them. My goal is to not only discuss the silent epidemic of healthcare workplace violence, but share the stories of other survivors. After experiencing a violent assault while on duty in my workplace, I felt a distinct lack of support and resources. I am a nurse with over 30 years of frontline experience.
